You have to visit if you're coming to Turkey. It's the most amazing reconstructed historical ruins I've ever seen. Efes was the Asian capital of the Greco-Roman empire. Only ~1hr from Izmir airport.

Amazing! So many findings enlighten the history of the city almost completely but u should def use audioguide, enter the specialzone w/ houses and start from uppergate otherwise it becomes so tiring

Breathtaking historical place. Huge walking area, go early, wear comfy sneakers and take water. I guaranty you will be amazed. Part of the monuments has been moved in Pergamon museum in Berlin.

Huge archaeological site, definately a must-see. It gets very crowded during high season and when cruise ships dock at the pier. It gets hot, visit it early morning. Now entrance costs 30 TL
